 This is my 4th digital camera in 2 years. My $300 Nikon was damaged when daughters 5 year old friend dropped it, my $300 Canon stopped working on a Caribbean vacation due to high humidity (do not buy a Canon and use near salt water and heat), my new $300 Nikon died after an unexpected roll over in a kayak.

Water Proof Panasonic Lumix TS20

  Given that I was into digital cameras for close to $1,000 in just over a year I decided to go with a waterproof, drop resistant design and this $130 Lumix easily produces photos equal in quality to the Canon and Nikon's costing several hundred dollars more. The downsides are the lack of optical zoom and extreme close ups but it will still take a sharp photo from 12" in good light. I highly recommend this bullet proof bargain camera.

Water Proof Panasonic Lumix TS20

 I wanted an inexpensive camera that I could take on vacations, use in the water, and not have to worry about. This does all that, and takes excellent pictures too. I'm not a professional photographer, and my thoughts regarding picture quality are that the only people who might complain are those who are used to cameras costing hundreds more.

Water Proof Panasonic Lumix TS20

 These pictures are sharper than what I got with my old kodak instashare, which cost more than 2X as much. The camera is incredibly user friendly, has already taken a bit of a beating (a hike through some water falls where it had a few encounters with rocks), and all is still working perfectly. Battery life is great, lasted a whole day... it's small, it's light... the price is perfect. I'm a happy customer.
